Upcycled Vinyl 45 to Hipster Mousepad or Drinks coaster

DIY's do not get much simpler than this. I love scattering vintage oddities throughout my home and when they are useful it is even better. Although originally envisioned as a mouepad, I have ended up using this as a drinks coaster on the computer desk.

1. Find a scratched up 45 at your local Op-Shop. Give it clean with a damp rag, and allow to dry. Choose which side will be the front.
2. Use a spray varnish or clear spray paint (I used White Knight Satin Finish Clear) spray the front to protect the label from moisture. Be patient and do several light coats. 
3. Glue a piece of craft foam or felt to the back, I used a spray adhesive.
4. Once dry, trim excess foam/felt with sharp scissors and add to your desk.
